Dave Martin

Research Associate
PhD in Civil Engineering, Laval University, Canada

Background: Dave obtained his PhD in civil engineering from Laval University in 2016. He began a Master's degree in civil engineering at Laval University and fast-tracked to the doctoral program in 2011. His PhD focused on the mathematical modelling of the solidification and melting of cryolite (a type of mineral used in aluminum production).

Current projects: Dave joined our research group in 2016 where he leverages his competences in mathematical modelling of complex interactions to develop models of infectious disease transmission. Dave's current research work focuses on the impact of HPV vaccination in developing countries, and the optimization of HPV screening strategies in the context of HPV vaccination.
