She holds a B.Sc. in mathematics (with a specialization in statistics) from the Universit\u00e9 de Sherbrooke. She then pursued a Masters in statistics at the Universit\u00e9 Laval. Caty joined the Research Chair in 2008 and has carried out statistical analyses on various projects seeking to estimate how infectious diseases (shingles and HPV-related diseases) impact the quality of life of affected individuals.<\/p>\n<p>Caty has contributed to the statistical analysis of dozens of articles published in scientific journals. She teaches the course entitled &lsquo;Bases de donn\u00e9es \u00e9pid\u00e9miologiques : cr\u00e9ation, manipulation, analyse&rsquo; (Epidemiological databases: creation, handling, and analysis) at the Faculty of Medecine.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Caty Blanchette is a statistician at the research unit since 1996.
