Éléonore is currently completing her master’s degree in applied mathematics at Laval University. Her research focuses on the creation and analysis of a dynamic mathematical model of the development of Alzheimer’s disease in the brain. More specifically, the model allows to study the role of amyloid beta accumulation, tau protein hyperphosphorylation, and inflammation on neuronal loss. Éléonore is interested in mathematical modeling of biological and populational phenomena, such as epidemics, through dynamic systems, and in the treatment of diseases. She joins our team in order to apply her skills in the use and development of the more complex models required for modeling infectious diseases, as well as to acquire new knowledge and skills.
