Caty Blanchette

Statistician, MSc

Caty Blanchette is a statistician at the research unit since 1996. She holds a B.Sc. in mathematics (with a specialization in statistics) from the Université de Sherbrooke. She then pursued a Masters in statistics at the Université Laval. Caty joined the Research Chair in 2008 and has carried out statistical analyses on various projects seeking to estimate how infectious diseases (shingles and HPV-related diseases) impact the quality of life of affected individuals.

Caty has contributed to the statistical analysis of dozens of articles published in scientific journals. She teaches the course entitled ‘Bases de données épidémiologiques : création, manipulation, analyse’ (Epidemiological databases: creation, handling, and analysis) at the Faculty of Medecine.
